Interview with the Domingo Team

Born from Everton, Built for Toffees

For brothers Matt and Tom, Everton isn't just a football club — it's a way of life. From the day they were born, the blue blood ran strong. Match days, away days, the ups, the downs — they've lived it all, traveling up and down the country (and beyond) to follow the Toffees wherever the badge took them.

Growing up in a true blue household, supporting Everton was never a choice; it was stitched into the fabric of who they are. Through rain, snow, late kick-offs, heartbreaks and the rare but sweet glory days, Matt and Tom have stood side by side with their club. But being a lifelong Blue also means seeing the cracks — and for the brothers, one thing stuck out like a sore thumb: the club's clothing and merchandise.

"It just wasn’t good enough, was it?" says Matt. "You'd go the club shop and think, who’s this made for? It’s not made for most Scousers, that’s for sure."

Scouse style is different. It's not just about throwing on a hoodie with a badge on it — it’s about feeling good, looking sharp, and representing your city and club with pride. On match day, most lads and girls from Liverpool want to look right. They want something that's both subtle and stylish — a nod to their love for the club without sacrificing that famous Scouse flair.

Blending fashion and football isn’t easy. There’s a fine line between looking like you're off to the game and looking like you're off to an away day in Paris. And that's where Domingo comes in.

"We were talking one night after another disappointing trip to the club shop," Tom laughs. "And I just thought to myself, 'SOD IT. I’ll make my own.'”

With Matt’s creative eye and Tom’s obsession with style and detail, Domingo was born — a clothing brand inspired by tradition, pride, and proper Scouse style. It’s clothing Evertonians actually want to wear, on match days and every day.

Interview with Matt & Tom:

  • Q: Why did you start Domingo?
Tom: "It came from frustration more than anything. We love Everton, but the gear just wasn’t up to scratch. If you look at Scousers, we’re stylish people. We’ve got our own way about us. And what the club was offering just didn’t reflect that. So we thought, we’ll do it ourselves."

  • Q: What issues did you see with Everton’s merch in the past?
Matt: "It felt lazy. Like it was just a logo slapped on a cheap top. No real thought about what lads and girls from Liverpool actually want to wear. We want something smart, stylish, and connected to the culture — not just a tracksuit with a badge."

  • Q: How does Domingo represent being a Toffee?
Tom: "It's about pride. It’s about loving your club but also staying true to the style and attitude that makes being a Scouser special. Our stuff isn’t plastered in logos. It’s subtle. It’s stylish. It's proper."

Being an Evertonian means everything: loyalty through thick and thin, belief in the club even when the results don’t show it, and a sense of community that you don’t find anywhere else. It's that same spirit Matt and Tom are bottling with Domingo — proper clobber for proper Blues.

And just like Evertonians themselves, Domingo is about heart, pride, and doing it your own way.

Because if the club won't do it right — the fans will.
